Brine Water Heat System
A Brine to water system uses a refrigerated antifreeze solution (brine), pumped through plastic piping circuits in a borehole to depths of between 70m and 200m. This solution retrieves energy as as it travels and eventually transfers this heat to the heatpump upon its return.
The Brine Water borehole option is advantageous, in that it does not require a large garden area in which to place the collector or where minimal disruption to the collector area is desirable. This system is suitable for terraced/semi detached building with small gardens, Houses with wet or boggy surrounding soil conditions and commercial installations where it is desirable to place the collector area close to the building itself. It also a very efficient system with a COP of 4.9. (kw output per 1kwh input)
